BASF signed an agreement with Beijing Oriental Yuhong Waterproof Technology Co., Ltd. (abbreviation: Oriental Yuhong) to upgrade their partnership and jointly develop the next generation of high-functional environmental protection waterproof materials. The cooperation aims to strengthen the strategic cooperation between the two parties in the field of construction solutions, develop near-zero release waterproof solutions, and set new standards for the Chinese construction market.

According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly develop advanced products that meet the strict release standards certified by Germany’s EMICODE® EC1PLUS. BASF will produce dispersions that meet the EMICODE® EC1PLUS standard, creating a new product to enhance the performance of Oriental Yuhong’s cement-based waterproofing products. Next, this technology development work will be carried out in BASF Shanghai Innovation Park. There are more than 80 scientists in the BASF Shanghai Innovation Park specializing in related research and possessing cutting-edge technologies in the field of dispersion research and development.
