Coal market prices in Fujian Province fell steadily in July

According to the data from the Ministry of Commerce’s important means of production monitoring system, in July 2023, the average coal market price of monitoring sample enterprises in Fujian Province was 1464.56 yuan/ton, a month-on-month decrease of 1.4%. Among them, the market price of anthracite was 1,227.63 yuan/ton, a month-on-month decrease of 4.1%; the market price of bituminous coal was 1,583.03 yuan/ton, a month-on-month decrease of 0.3%. On the whole, the coal market prices of the monitoring sample enterprises in Fujian Province fell steadily in July. Coal mines were in normal production in July, and the overall coal supply was stable. At the beginning of the month and the middle of the month, due to the arrival of the summer peak, the demand increased, and the coal market price rose. However, due to the typhoon weather at the end of the month, the overall transaction was relatively average, and the market was more wait-and-see, which caused the coal market price to fall. It is expected that the coal market price in Fujian Province will be adjusted steadily due to changes in supply and demand in the later period.
