On July 15, Wanhua Chemical issued an announcement on the suspension of production and maintenance of its subsidiary, Hungarian Borsod Chemical Company.
According to the announcement, the TDI plant (250,000 tons/year) of Borsod Chemical Company, a subsidiary of Wanhua Chemical, will be shut down for maintenance from July 15, 2023, and the maintenance is expected to take about 30 days. The MDI unit (350,000 tons/year) will be shut down for maintenance and technical renovation and capacity expansion will begin on July 18, 2023. After the technical renovation, the production capacity will be increased to 400,000 tons/year, and the maintenance is expected to take about 80 days. This suspension of production and maintenance is a routine maintenance carried out according to the annual plan, and will not affect the company's production and operation.
