Another BDO downstream company successfully passed the IPO meeting on the Beijing Stock Exchange

The Listing Committee of the Beijing Stock Exchange held the 15th review meeting in 2023 at 9 am on March 27 to review the listing application of Hebei Meibang Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Meibang Technology”). The results of the review were released on the same day, and Mebang Technology met the requirements for issuance, listing and information disclosure, and successfully passed the meeting.

According to the prospectus, Meibang Technology is mainly engaged in the research and development, industrialization and technical services of green manufacturing technology. At present, it has realized the industrialization, production and sales of self-developed technology in the fields of tetrahydrofuran and toluene oxidation series products. At the same time, the company provides solutions to customers in the fields of energy, chemical industry and new materials through technology licensing, key equipment, catalysts, etc., to help customers improve resource and energy utilization efficiency and improve the level of green development.

It is reported that tetrahydrofuran is an important raw material used in new chemical materials, pharmaceutical intermediates and other fields. It is an important midstream product in the BDO (organic and fine chemical raw materials) industry chain. The main raw materials of plastics, PBAT degradable plastics, spandex, polyurethane, γ-butyrolactone and other products, which are widely used in the fields of medicine, chemical industry, textile, papermaking, automobile and daily chemical industry. Meibang Technology uses the LBDO purification method to prepare tetrahydrofuran. Its subsidiary, Meibang Huanyu, is one of the largest manufacturers of tetrahydrofuran prepared by the LBDO purification method in China, and its market share in the field of LBDO purification tetrahydrofuran is about 24%.

Toluene oxidation series products mainly include benzyl alcohol, benzaldehyde and benzoic acid, which are important raw materials for the production of industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, flavors and fragrances. The benzyl alcohol output of the subsidiary Kelin Bolun ranks among the top three in the country. It is the only benzyl alcohol manufacturer in China that adopts the technical route of toluene oxidation. The benzaldehyde output ranks second in the country and its market share exceeds 20%.
