On August 31, 2023, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) made the fourth anti-dumping sunset review on the import of pure granular magnesium (Pure Granular Magnesium) from China. Measures, within a reasonably foreseeable period, the import of the products involved in the case may cause substantial damage to the domestic industry of the United States, which may continue or reoccur. According to the final ruling, the current anti-dumping measures in this case will continue to be effective.
On November 14, 2000, the United States launched an anti-dumping investigation on the imports of granular pure magnesium from Israel, the Russian Federation and China. On September 27, 2001, the United States made the final anti-dumping ruling on Chinese granular pure magnesium. On November 19, 2001, the U.S. Department of Commerce formally imposed anti-dumping duties on Chinese granular pure magnesium. Since then, the United States has conducted three sunset reviews, and extended the tax collection period three times on March 26, 2007, October 17, 2012, and March 12, 2018. On February 1, 2023, the U.S. Department of Commerce launched the fourth anti-dumping sunset review investigation on granular pure magnesium imported from China. On June 6, 2023, the U.S. Department of Commerce made the final ruling on the fourth anti-dumping rapid sunset review on granular pure magnesium imported from China.
