Coal prices in Yunnan Province rose slightly month-on-month in the fourth week of August

According to the Ministry of Commerce’s important production data market monitoring system, this week (August 21-27, 2023), the average price of coal in Yunnan Province was 1,269 yuan/ton, an increase of 1.5% month-on-month. Among them, the average price of thermal coal was 827 yuan/ton, an increase of 3.1% from the previous month; the average price of coking coal was 1,980 yuan/ton, an increase of 1.5% from the previous month; the average price of anthracite was 1,000 yuan/ton, which was the same as the previous month. There is a phased demand for replenishment in the downstream terminals, and coal prices have increased slightly month-on-month. It is expected that in the later period, supply and demand in the coal market will be stable and prices may stabilize.
