Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on September 15 show that, From January to August, the national fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) was 32,704.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.2%. Among them, investment in manufacturing increased by 5.9%, and investment in chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing increased by 13.2%.
In terms of industries, the investment in the primary industry was 692.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.3%; the investment in the secondary industry was 10252.0 billion yuan, an increase of 8.8%; the investment in the tertiary industry was 21759.3 billion yuan, an increase of 0.9%.
In the secondary industry, industrial investment increased by 8.8% year-on-year. Among them, investment in the mining industry increased by 2.0%, and investment in the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry increased by 26.5%.
In the tertiary industry, infrastructure investment (excluding electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industries) increased by 6.4% year-on-year. Among them, investment in the railway transportation industry increased by 23.4%, that in the water conservancy management industry increased by 4.8%, that in the road transportation industry increased by 1.9%, and that in the public facilities management industry decreased by 0.6%.
In terms of regions, investment in the eastern region increased by 5.6% year-on-year, investment in the central region decreased by 1.6%, investment in the western region decreased by 0.6%, and investment in the northeastern region decreased by 3.1%.
In terms of registration types, the fixed asset investment of domestic enterprises increased by 3.4% year-on-year, the fixed asset investment of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises decreased by 3.0%, and the fixed asset investment of foreign enterprises increased by 2.7%.
