On September 28, Arkema announced that it would expand its organic peroxide production capacity at its Changshu Industrial Base in China by 2.5 times. This investment of approximately €50 million will enable the Group to support Asian customers in fast-growing markets, especially in the renewable energy sector.

Organic peroxides are niche additives that fulfill critical missions as reaction initiators for a wide range of polymers, particularly in the energy transition as an important component in the manufacturing process of photovoltaic panels. With this major investment in Changshu, China, Arkema will support the strong expansion of Asian manufacturers serving fast-growing global markets.
The group’s expansion of its organic peroxide business in China is a follow-up to its announcement in 2022 that it will increase its organic peroxide production capacity in India by 70%, as well as the launch of Luperox® 101 in Günzburg, Germany this summer.
