According to data from Luoyang Important Production Materials Monitoring System, a unified platform for the Ministry of Commerce’s business systems, in the second week of September (September 9-September 15), the average retail price of coal (bituminous coal) in Luoyang was 675 yuan/ tons, a month-on-month decrease of 0.4%. Coal prices in Luoyang dropped slightly last week. As the weather turns cooler, power plant daily consumption shows a seasonal downward trend, and inventories remain at high levels, resulting in mediocre enthusiasm for downstream purchasing. Some power plants have plans to shut down for maintenance, and industrial power consumption is also mediocre. Most of them are long-term contracts, and short-term downstream purchasing power is still insufficient. It is expected that coal prices may continue to remain weak in the future.
