Methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene copolymer (MBS) is a white powder, odorless and high in strength. It has high rigidity and can maintain sufficient rigidity at 85-90℃. It has good low temperature resistance and still has good toughness at -40℃. It has excellent transparency, with a light transmittance of 80%-90%. It is resistant to oil, weak acid, and weak alkali. Its outstanding advantages are transparency and resistance to UV aging. Soluble in acetone, benzene, toluene, dichloroethane and other organic solvents. MBS is prepared from methyl methacrylate (40%), styrene-butadiene latex (30%), and styrene (30%) through an emulsion grafting method.

It can be formed into pipes by injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, compression molding, etc. , plates, films, sheets and various profiles, reminder: the sheets can be easily thermoformed. The injection temperature during injection molding is 210~240.C, in order to produce products with the best surface gloss and good transparency. , the mold temperature must be controlled above 80.C, and the mold surface should be polished as much as possible; during extrusion, the barrel temperature is 140~180.C, and the machine head temperature is 200, 220.C. MBS is also an excellent polymer modifier, which can improve the transparency and impact resistance of polymers. It is mainly used to improve PC, PBT, PET, ABS, PC/PBT alloy, PC/ABS Impact properties of alloys and PVC. Among them, MBS resin and PVC have good blending properties. The impact strength of PVC modified with MBS resin can be increased by 6 to 15 times, and the aging resistance, cold resistance and processing performance are improved.
