The specific uses of ABS high rubber powder are as follows:
1. To make general-purpose ABS, it can be directly blended and granulated with SAN.
2. To make modified ABS products, it is the same as making general ABS. ABS high rubber powder needs to be blended with SAN. The only difference is that other additives are added while blending, such as flame retardant. ABS requires the addition of flame retardants and flame retardant synergists (typical formula: ABS powder 30%-40%, SAN, flame retardants, and additives 70%—60%); additional additions are required to make heat-resistant ABS Heat-resistant components; make ABS containing fiberglass and add additional fiberglass filler.
3. Make ABS alloy products, such as PA/ABS alloy, PMMA/ABS alloy, PBT/ABS alloy. The so-called alloy material is nothing more than the physical composition of two or more materials in a certain proportion. Blending, learning from each other’s strengths and weaknesses to obtain materials with better comprehensive properties. As for the ABS component, it also requires the blending of SAN and high rubber powder; the only difference is that it accounts for a smaller proportion in the alloy. For example, when producing PC alloy, high rubber powder generally requires 8 -12 parts (typical formula: ABS powder 30%-50%, SAN, PC, additives 70%—50%), among the performance indicators, the impact reaches 600J/m, the heat deformation temperature is 110℃, and the Rockwell hardness Around 110.
4. Toughened ABS regrind, PC/ABS regrind, etc. Regardless of the new material regrind, its impact strength is provided by rubber powder.
