Ultraviolet absorber UV-P is a light stabilizer that can absorb the ultraviolet part of sunlight and fluorescent light sources without changing itself.
Physical data:
Ultraviolet absorber UV-P appears as colorless or light yellow crystals. Soluble in a variety of organic solvents such as gasoline, benzene, acetone, etc., and has very little solubility in water. Can be dissolved in alkali to form yellow salt.
Melting point: 125.5-129.5°C (lit.),
Boiling point: bp10 225°,
Flash point: 54°C,
Water solubility: 173μg/L at 20℃.
Uses:
Used as polyester, polystyrene, acrylic resin, polyvinyl chloride and other plastics and fibers and UV absorbers for coatings.
