According to foreign news on October 17, data released by the American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday showed that U.S. crude oil and refined oil inventories both fell last week.
In the week ended October 13, crude oil inventories fell by approximately 4.4 million barrels. Gasoline inventories fell by 1.6 million barrels, and distillate inventories fell by about 610,000 barrels.
Analysts had expected that U.S. crude oil inventories fell by about 300,000 barrels last week, gasoline inventories fell by about 1.1 million barrels, and distillate inventories fell by about 1.4 million barrels.
