According to data from Luoyang Important Production Data Monitoring System, a unified platform for the Ministry of Commerce’s business systems, the average retail price of coal (bituminous coal) in Luoyang during the first week of October (September 30-October 6) was 680 yuan/ tons, a month-on-month decrease of 0.4%. Coal prices in Henan fell slightly last week. During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, the pace of restocking on the demand side slowed down, and the downstream maintained a wait-and-see attitude. Coal prices were stable and slightly decreased. In the later period, boosted by expectations for the peak consumption season of the Golden Nine and Silver Ten and the winter coal reserve node, coal prices are expected to rise.
