According to monitoring by the Ministry of Commerce, national coal prices rose slightly last week (October 9 to 15), with thermal coal, coking coal, and No. 2 anthracite lump coal at 876 yuan, 1,354 yuan, and 1,375 yuan per ton. Increases of 0.7%, 0.2% and 0.1% respectively.
Steel prices dropped slightly, with ordinary medium plate, rebar and hot-rolled strip steel reaching 4,194 yuan, 3,899 yuan and 4,108 yuan per ton, down 1.1%, 0.9% and 0.8% respectively.
