According to data released by the National Medical Insurance Administration, from January to September 2023, the total revenue of the basic medical insurance fund (including maternity insurance) was 2.34683 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%. Among them, the income of the basic medical insurance fund for employees (including maternity insurance) was 1,661.255 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.1%; the income of the basic medical insurance fund for urban and rural residents was 685.575 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.8%. The total expenditure of the basic medical insurance fund (including maternity insurance) was 2.037833 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.9%. The expenditure of the basic medical insurance fund for employees (including maternity insurance) was 1.278465 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.2%, of which the expenditure of maternity insurance fund benefits was 80.167 billion yuan; the expenditure of the basic medical insurance fund for urban and rural residents was 759.367 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.8%.
