From July 6th to 7th, the 2023 Coal-to-Olefins Energy Efficiency and Water Efficiency "Top Runner" Index Verification and Energy and Water Conservation Benchmark Work Exchange Meeting organized by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation was held in Pujie Energy Chemical Company held. Wang Xiujiang, deputy secretary-general of the Coal Chemical Industry Committee of the Petrochemical Federation, presided over the meeting and said that the verification of coal-to-olefin energy efficiency and water efficiency leader indicators and the exchange of energy-saving and water-saving benchmarking work aims to encourage coal-to-olefin enterprises to cooperate with each other Benchmarking and exchanging experience to jointly promote progress in energy and water conservation in the industry. All enterprises should adhere to the concept of low-carbon, green, high-efficiency, and innovative development. While doing a good job in energy conservation and consumption reduction, they should strengthen their independent innovation capabilities, extend the olefin industry chain, increase the added value of products, increase the core competitiveness of enterprises, and achieve green and low-carbon sustainable development.
At the meeting, Xing Xuejian, director of the Coal Chemical Industry Committee, introduced the relevant work requirements and accounting standards of the coal-to-olefin energy efficiency "leader" and water efficiency "leader". Relevant companies respectively explained their energy consumption structure and calculation methods of energy consumption, shared their experience in energy efficiency improvement, energy conservation management, and technological transformation, and conducted mutual verification and benchmarking. The expert group listened to the reports of various enterprises, confirmed the accounting method, and verified the energy consumption data of coal-to-olefins. The expert group believes that the data provided by the participating enterprises are complete, standardized and feasible, and the calculation methods meet the requirements of relevant standards. In particular, the energy-saving projects such as tail gas recovery and utilization, comprehensive utilization of hydrogen energy, and waste heat power generation carried out by Pujie Energy Chemical Company have achieved remarkable results.
Feng Jianli, general manager of Pu Jie Energy Chemical Co., Ltd., said that in 2023, the company will focus on "strive for excellence" and focus on energy conservation and consumption reduction. The comprehensive energy consumption per unit of olefin products has been decreasing year after year, reaching 2,551 kgce/ton, and the power consumption, water consumption, and steam consumption have also decreased in varying degrees compared with the previous year, laying the foundation for the company to continue to be at the leading level in energy efficiency and water efficiency. Through this event, Pujie Energy will earnestly study and understand the excellent experience and practices of advanced units in the industry, learn from each other, optimize and improve, and make contributions to the coal-to-olefins industry.
