TJC completes acquisition of Delrin® business from DuPont

TJC announces the successful completion of its acquisition of Delrin®, a highly differentiated global homopolymer manufacturer. Now officially established as an independent company, Delrin® builds on a more than 60-year tradition of partnering with customers to help them solve their toughest technology challenges. Under TJC's leadership, Delrin® is positioned for future growth by continuing to innovate in partnership with customers in mobility, healthcare, materials handling, industrial automation and consumer end markets.

Delrin® employees and operations will continue to operate business as normal, providing stability and consistency to customers and suppliers with whom the company has long-term relationships. Delrin® has added to its team to drive further growth as an independent business and announced the appointment of key leaders who will help guide the company's future growth.

Juergen Pongratz will join Delrin® as President and Chief Executive Officer. Juergen Pongratz has more than 25 years of experience in technology, marketing and sales, procurement, and commercial management, and has a deep understanding of the engineered materials sector. Juergen Pongratz previously held positions at Celanese, Avantor and BASF, most recently as president of ILC Dover's biotherapeutics and pharmaceuticals business. Sriram Nadathur brings 18 years of experience at DuPont, Clariant and McKinsey, and has experience leading global engineered materials businesses, driving organic growth and operational improvements, and orchestrating acquisitions. After leading the successful sale transaction of Delrin®, Sriram "We are excited about the future of Delrin® under new ownership and look forward to delighting our customers as we grow our business," said Nadathur.

Dean Meyer will join Delrin® as chief information officer. He has more than 30 years of experience building and deploying outcome-driven technologies across multiple companies. Dean Prior to Delrin®, Meyer served as chief information officer for The Chemours Company. Prior to joining The Chemours Company, he worked at Hexion, Delphi Automotive and Dow Chemical held various IT leadership and development roles.
