Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Primary aluminum production in the first three quarters increased by 3.3% year-on-year while aluminum exports fell by 18.3% year-on-year.

According to the operation status of the non-ferrous metal industry in 2023 released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in the first three quarters, the industrial added value of the non-ferrous metal industry increased by 6.2% year-on-year, 2.2 percentage points higher than the industrial average. The output of ten nonferrous metals was 55.02 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%. Among them, the output of primary aluminum was 30.81 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%.

In terms of import and export, aluminum exports declined year-on-year. According to data from the General Administration of Customs, in terms of imports, the physical import volumes of copper concentrate and bauxite in the first three quarters were 20.34 million tons and 106.64 million tons respectively, a year-on-year increase of 7.8% and 12.8%; in terms of exports, the export volume of aluminum materials in the first three quarters It was 3.953 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 18.3%.
