On July 20, the Ministry of Commerce announced the development data of my country's service outsourcing industry in the first half of 2023. In the first half of the year, my country's service outsourcing industry grew steadily.
Statistics show that in the first half of 2023, the value of service outsourcing contracts undertaken by Chinese enterprises was 1,091.7 billion yuan, and the executed value was 740 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.6% and 14.7% respectively. From the perspective of business structure, in the first half of the year, the implementation amount of offshore information technology outsourcing (ITO), business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) undertaken by Chinese enterprises was 176.7 billion yuan, 72.7 billion yuan and 169.5 billion yuan respectively. They increased by 13.8%, 13.3% and 20.0% respectively. Among them, offshore service outsourcing businesses such as information technology solution services, management consulting services, and Internet marketing promotion services grew rapidly.
From the perspective of regional layout, in the first half of the year, the 37 service outsourcing demonstration cities across the country undertook a total of 581 billion yuan of offshore service outsourcing contracts, and the executed value was 380.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.3% and 15.5% respectively, accounting for 20% of the national total. 92.2% and 90.9%.
From the perspective of the international market, in the first half of the year, the execution value of offshore service outsourcing of member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) was 107.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.2%, accounting for 25.6% of my country's offshore service outsourcing execution value .
From the perspective of employment, as of the end of June 2023, my country's service outsourcing industry has absorbed a total of 15.305 million employees, of which 9.905 million people have a college degree or above, accounting for 64.7%. In the first half of the year, 330,000 new employees were employed in the service outsourcing industry, of which 240,000 had a college degree or above, accounting for 73.2%.
