Coal prices in Yunnan Province rose month-on-month in the fifth week of June

According to the Ministry of Commerce's important means of production market monitoring system, this week (June 26-July 2, 2023), the average price of coal in Yunnan Province was 1351.9 yuan/ton, a month-on-month increase of 3.5%. Among them, the average price of coking coal was 1,850 yuan/ton, an increase of 7.4% from the previous month; the average price of thermal coal was 945.8 yuan/ton, an increase of 1% from the previous month; the average price of anthracite was 1,260 yuan/ton, which was flat from the previous month. Affected by high temperature weather, the arrival of peak electricity consumption drives up coal prices. It is expected that in the later period, the demand for coal will be strong, and the price may rise.
