The Global Mineral Resources Strategy Research Center of the China Geological Survey Bureau of the Ministry of Natural Resources of China released the "Global Mineral Resource Reserves Evaluation Report 2023" on the 8th.
The report collects the data of more than 20,000 mining projects covering 150 countries around the world, and benchmarks and reasonably corrects the data of different global reserve systems and the reserve data published by some countries according to unified standards, and finally obtains reliable and credible results Global Mineral Resources and Reserves Assessment Data.
The report adds iron, manganese, chromium, copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, phosphorus on the basis of the "Global Lithium, Cobalt, Nickel, Tin, Potash Salt Mineral Resources and Reserves Assessment Report" released for the first time in 20218 5 kinds of minerals, and updated the data of 5 kinds of minerals including lithium, cobalt, nickel, tin and potassium salt, and comprehensively evaluated the reserve information of 13 kinds of mineral resources in the world by the end of 2021.
The report data shows that the reserves of these 13 minerals in China vary widely in the world. Among them, the resource reserves of 4 minerals, including tin, lead, zinc and manganese, account for more than 10% of the world, and they are dominant minerals; The reserves of the other nine mineral resources account for a relatively low proportion in the world, and they are minerals in short supply. Some specific data are as follows:
Global iron ore reserves are 164.3 billion tons, resources are 582.8 billion tons; global manganese ore reserves are 2.034 billion tons, resources are 8.073 billion tons; global chromite reserves are 2.042 billion tons, resources are 4.301 billion tons; global copper ore reserves 821.63 million tons, resources 1919.61 million tons; global bauxite reserves 15.3 billion tons, resources 43.2 billion tons; global lead reserves 75.47 million tons, resources 274.66 million tons; global zinc reserves 225.67 million tons, resources 635.78 tons and so on.
