From January to May the production of raw coal above the designated size in Shaanxi increased by 1.1% year-on-year

Data from the Shaanxi Provincial Bureau of Statistics show that from January to May, the output of industrial raw coal above designated size in the province was 306.795 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%, and the growth rate dropped by 0.5 percentage points from the previous month. Among them, the output of raw coal in May was 63.4055 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.2%.

From January to May, the province's industrial power generation above designated size was 114.773 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%, and the growth rate dropped by 0.4 percentage points from the previous month. Among them, the monthly power generation in May was 21.187 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%.

In terms of energy consumption, from January to May, the comprehensive energy consumption of industries above designated size in the province increased by 9.9% year-on-year, and the growth rate dropped by 1.1 percentage points from the previous month. Among them, the comprehensive energy consumption of the six high-energy-consuming industries in the province increased by 9.6% year-on-year, and the growth rate dropped by 2.3 percentage points from the previous month. The comprehensive energy consumption of the six high-energy-consuming industries accounted for 88.0% of the industrial energy consumption above the designated size.

From January to May, the cumulative electricity consumption of the whole society was 96.910 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%, and the growth rate dropped by 0.9 percentage points from the previous month. In terms of industries, the cumulative electricity consumption of the primary industry increased by 2.3%, a decrease of 2.6 percentage points from the previous month; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry increased by 0.7%, a decrease of 1.1 percentage points; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry increased by 12.2%, a decrease of 0.8% percent. The domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents increased by 4.4%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points.
