The National Bureau of Statistics announced on the 28th that from January to May 2023, industrial enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 51.39 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.1%. The operating income of the mining industry was 2,529.22 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 7.2%. Among them, the coal mining and washing industry achieved operating income of 1,509.68 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 9.1%.
From January to May 2023, the total profits of industrial enterprises above designated size across the country were 2,668.89 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 18.8%. The total profit realized by the mining industry was 591.93 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 16.2%. Among them, the coal mining and washing industry realized a total profit of 365.80 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 18.7%.
In addition, from January to May 2023, the operating costs of industrial enterprises above designated size across the country were 43.83 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.2%. The operating cost of the mining industry was 1,595.34 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.9%. Among them, the operating cost of coal mining and washing industry was 941.06 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.3%.
