From the perspective of business structure, from January to May, the implementation amount of offshore information technology outsourcing (ITO), business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) undertaken by Chinese enterprises was 129.8 billion yuan, 56.3 billion yuan and 122.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%, 18.1% and 21.4% respectively. Among them, offshore service outsourcing businesses such as information technology solution services, Internet marketing and promotion services, and management consulting services grew rapidly, with year-on-year increases of 122.4%, 55.8%, and 53.9%, respectively.
From the perspective of regional layout, from January to May, the 37 service outsourcing demonstration cities have undertaken a total of 428.6 billion yuan in offshore service outsourcing contracts and 281.7 billion yuan in execution, a year-on-year increase of 16.4% and 16.8% respectively, accounting for the national total 92.5% and 91.4% of the total. The value of offshore service outsourcing contracts undertaken by the Yangtze River Delta region was 248.5 billion yuan, and the executed value was 162.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 35.8% and 19.2% respectively, accounting for 53.6% and 52.6% of the national total. The execution value of offshore service outsourcing undertaken by the western region and the northeastern region was 9.7 billion yuan and 8.8 billion yuan respectively, a year-on-year increase of 41.8% and 27.5% respectively.
From the perspective of the international market, from January to May, the execution value of offshore service outsourcing undertaken by Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong, the United States, and the European Union was 66.6 billion yuan, 64.1 billion yuan, and 40.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.8% and 23.5% respectively. and 15.6%, accounting for 55.6% of China's offshore service outsourcing execution. my country's implementation of offshore service outsourcing from member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) was 76.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.1%, accounting for 24.8% of China's offshore service outsourcing implementation. Among them, the execution value of offshore service outsourcing in Indonesia and Vietnam increased rapidly, with a year-on-year increase of 52.6% and 49.0% respectively.
From the perspective of the nature of enterprises, from January to May, the execution value of offshore service outsourcing undertaken by private enterprises was 85.3 billion yuan, accounting for 27.7% of the country, an increase of 11.4% year-on-year. The execution value of offshore service outsourcing undertaken by foreign-invested enterprises was 148.6 billion yuan, accounting for 48.2% of the country, a year-on-year increase of 20.4%, 3.7 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate.
From the perspective of employment, as of the end of May 2023, my country's service outsourcing industry has absorbed a total of 15.235 million employees, of which 9.86 million are college graduates or above, accounting for 64.7%. From January to May, 260,000 new employees were employed in service outsourcing, of which 200,000 were college graduates or above, accounting for 76.1%.
