The General Administration of Customs announced on June 7 that in the first five months, my country's foreign trade import and export increased by 4.7% year-on-year, achieving stable growth.
According to customs statistics, in the first five months of this year, the total value of my country's foreign trade imports and exports was 16.77 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%. Among them, exports were 9.62 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%; imports were 7.15 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%.
Customs statistics show that in the first five months of this year, ASEAN continued to be my country's largest trading partner, with imports and exports of 2.59 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.9%, accounting for 15.4% of my country's total foreign trade. The import and export to the EU was 2.28 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.6%. During the same period, imports and exports to countries along the “Belt and Road” reached 5.78 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%, of which Kazakhstan and other five Central Asian countries increased by 44%. The import and export to other RCEP member countries was 5.11 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%.
In the first five months, the export of "three new" products such as electric passenger vehicles, lithium batteries, and solar batteries increased rapidly, driving the overall growth of my country's exports by 2 percentage points.
