On the evening of April 26, Haiyou New Materials announced that the company signed a memorandum of cooperation with Dow Chemical (China) Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Dow China"). After friendly negotiation, we reached a cooperation intention on establishing a long-term and comprehensive strategic partnership, including providing products and integrating the markets, sales channels and customer resources of both parties.
According to the proposed cooperation model between the two parties, Dow China will provide Haiyou New Materials with support in the development of polyolefin elastomer (hereinafter referred to as "POE") resin and the stable supply of POE products, with a view to establishing a deeper cooperative relationship between the two parties , and jointly promote the growth of POE in the automotive smart cockpit surface material market.
According to industry insiders, with its excellent physical mechanics, high temperature resistance and processing rheological properties, POE resin is widely used in the fields of auto parts and photovoltaic adhesive films. In the automotive field, POE is mainly used to modify and toughen PA, PE, and PP. In the automotive industry, it is used to make bumpers, steering wheels, backing plates, fenders, etc. In the field of photovoltaics, POE is mainly used to produce photovoltaic encapsulation films with high anti-aging and high barrier properties. It is reported that the existing production capacity of POE is mainly concentrated in a few foreign companies. Major global POE manufacturers include Dow Chemical, Exxon Mobil, Mitsui Chemicals, SABIC, South Korea's LG and Borealis. Among them, Dow Chemical's POE production capacity ranks first in the world, with a maximum of 760,000 tons per year.
As a high-tech enterprise dedicated to the research and application of special polymer film materials, the main products of Haiyou New Materials are film products used in the new energy industry. The product structure is mainly packaging films such as EVA and POE films, including transparent EVA film, white synergistic EVA film, POE film and other polymer films, etc. The rapid development of module packaging film technology and the use of double-sided cells and double-glass modules have further promoted the continuous increase in the market share of high-quality film.
