Ultimaker recently announced that it has restructured its brand following the merger of Ultimaker and MakerBot last year.
The new brand identity reflects the company’s strategic vision to drive adoption of desktop 3D printing solutions and introduces a new product architecture.
Under the Ultimaker brand, the S and Method series of 3D printers will support manufacturing, product development and other specialized applications. The S Series will continue to offer the broadest range of materials on the market, giving it flexibility for multiple uses, while the Method Series will focus on more specific manufacturing applications that can benefit from heated chambers, specialty high thermoplastic materials and high levels of The use of dimensional accuracy.
At the same time, the MakerBot brand will continue to operate as a sub-brand in the education sector, with the MakerBot Sketch series targeting K-12 learning. Sketch launched last year
