At the press conference held by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment that day, Jiang Huohua introduced that in 2022, the daytime compliance rate of the national acoustic environment functional areas will be 96.0%, and the nighttime compliance rate will be 86.6%. From the perspective of various acoustic environment functional areas, the daytime and nighttime compliance rates have increased to varying degrees year-on-year. The overall level of urban regional acoustic environment in the country is "good" and "better" respectively 5% and 66.3%.
He said that before the end of this year, the acoustic environment quality monitoring network covering all urban functional areas at the prefecture level and above will be completed. From January 1, 2025, cities at the prefecture level and above across the country will fully realize the automatic monitoring of the acoustic environment quality in functional areas. Comprehensively strengthen the monitoring of regional noise, social life noise and noise sources. All regions, relevant public place management departments, and industrial noise emission units must implement noise monitoring responsibilities according to law.
In addition, it is necessary to comprehensively strengthen the release of noise monitoring information. The Ministry of Ecology and Environment will uniformly release information on the national acoustic environment quality in accordance with the law, and local ecological and environmental departments are responsible for releasing information on the acoustic environment quality of their administrative regions.
