Right now is the critical period for seedling cultivation and sowing of mid-season rice in Fuding, Fujian. The local 67,000 mu of mid-season rice breeding has been fully rolled out.
In Guanyang Village, Fuding City, in the well-planned rice fields, the villagers are busy arranging seedbeds, sowing grain seeds, laying film, and taking advantage of the fine weather to carry out rice seedling cultivation and sowing, laying the foundation for a bumper harvest. The grower told reporters that after more than 20 days, these seedlings can be planted in the field.
Zhu Zhaoqi, a major grain grower: planted more than 300 mu of medium-sized rice, and the varieties planted in this year's demonstration area have high yield and good quality.
The local agricultural department actively starts from the key link of seedling raising, and vigorously promotes new technologies and new varieties in the main rice-producing towns and towns to increase grain production and income.
It is understood that this year, Fuding City has implemented a grain sowing area of 194,900 mu.
