Both revenue and profit are down! The latest progress of Shenma s adiponitrile nylon 66 and other projects

A few days ago, Shenma Industrial Co., Ltd. released its 2022 annual report: In 2022, the company's operating income was 13.559 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.22%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 427 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease 79.99%.

Multiple new material project progress

During the reporting period——

  • The hydrogen ammonia project supporting the nylon chemical industry and the adiponitrile project with an annual output of 50,000 tons are progressing smoothly as planned;

  • The civil construction of the project with an annual output of 30,000 tons of 1,6-hexanediol has been basically completed;

  • The sub-project of 30,000 tons of nylon 6 differentiated fiber and 25,000 tons of nylon 6 cord fabric project with an annual output of 8,000 tons of white gray fabric was completed and put into operation;

  • The second phase of 40,000 tons/year nylon 66 slices has completed design, civil engineering, equipment bidding and procurement, and entered the equipment installation stage;

  • The preliminary procedures of the 20,000-ton/year special nylon 66 slice project in Shanghai have been completed, and the civil construction is in progress;

  • The main plant and warehouse of the second phase of the 15,000-ton BOPA film project have been capped and all equipment has been ordered;

  • The energy assessment, safety assessment and environmental assessment of the second-phase project of bisphenol A with an annual output of 240,000 tons have been approved;

  • The para-aramid fiber project with an annual output of 2,000 tons has completed preparatory work such as energy assessment, environmental impact assessment, and water and soil conservation, and the preliminary design, land acquisition, and safety assessment work have been carried out in an orderly manner.

Progress of related R&D projects

1. Industrialization of para-aramid fiber

Objective: To achieve major breakthroughs in resin synthesis, continuous and stable spinning, etc., and to achieve continuous and stable operation of the entire production line through the transformation of key equipment and technological improvement of the existing test production line.

Progress: Major breakthroughs have been made in key equipment transformation, process technology improvement, resin synthesis, continuous and stable spinning, etc., and the continuous and stable operation of the entire line has been achieved. The products have reached the first-class level in the industry, and the products are sold outside. According to the experimental results of the project, the annual production of 2,000 tons of para-aramid project has officially started.

Objective: To provide technical support for the implementation of the para-aramid project with an annual output of 2,000 tons.

2. Development of nylon 66 fine denier fiber

Purpose: To develop differentiated and functional nylon 66 fine-denier fiber products

Progress: The test site of the project has been successfully completed, and a research and development platform for fine-denier civilian yarns has been built. At present, experiments on high-strength fine-denier bright nylon 66 fibers and five functional masterbatches have been completed.

Goal: To build a pilot production line with a production capacity of 100 tons per year, with continuous and stable production of fine denier, ultra-fine denier, functional and differentiated fiber technology, to achieve medium-strength, high-strength, low-shrinkage, high-shrinkage and other performance products.

3. Research and application of high-temperature laughing gas high-efficiency decomposition catalytic technology in nitric acid oxidation furnace

Objective: To develop a structured catalyst for efficient decomposition of N2O in a nitric acid oxidation furnace.

Progress: signed an entrusted research and development agreement with the cooperative unit; the catalyst selection has been completed; the design of the side line reactor has been completed.

Objective: To develop a high-temperature N2O high-efficiency decomposition catalyst suitable for industrial applications, so that the N2O decomposition rate in the nitric acid furnace can reach more than 90%.

4. Development of nylon 66 regenerated fiber

Purpose: Follow the development concepts of resource conservation, environmental protection, green chemistry, and circular economy, develop recycled fibers, promote high-value utilization of waste textiles, and meet the demand for recycled fibers in the international luxury goods market.

Progress: Completed the pilot batch production experiment, provided samples for two high-end customers, passed the GRS review, completed the preparation of enterprise standards, and met the project acceptance conditions.

Goal: To achieve stable batch production of regenerated fiber and achieve stable supply capacity.

5. Development of nylon 66 modified engineering plastics

Purpose: To develop a series of modified high-end products to open up the high-end nylon modified market, including high-fluidity nylon, toughened nylon, flame-retardant nylon, hydrolysis-resistant nylon, etc.

Progress: The small-scale research has been completed, and the pilot-scale experiment is being carried out to optimize the product formula and process, and realize the continuous production of the pilot scale. The qualified product rate is ≥ 85%. The pilot-scale products are being tested by a third-party testing agency.

Goal: On the basis of continuously improving the performance of existing nylon products, improve and enrich the nylon product series, take "special, new, special and refined" as the final positioning of the product, develop high-end nylon modified products, and serve as the foundation for the company's high-end nylon industry products R&D provides strong support.
