Among them, the process of April 9-13 and 27-29 was a sandstorm level, and April 18-21 reached the level of a strong sandstorm, causing local crops in North China and Northwest China to be damaged.
2. Northwest, North China and other places suffer from low temperature freezing and snow disaster
In April, there were 5 cold air events affecting our country, more than the same period in previous years. Among them, April 21-24 was a national cold wave process, with a large drop in temperature and a wide range of influences, causing local fruit trees in Northwest China and North China to be frozen and damage to facility agriculture. Overall, 1.327 million people in 11 provinces (regions) including Shanxi, Gansu, and Shaanxi were affected by low-temperature freezing and snow disasters. The affected area of crops was 1.899 million hectares, and the direct economic loss was 1.36 billion yuan.
3. Local floods and geological disasters occurred in the south, and the ice flood situation in the northeast was stable

The flood disaster caused 523,000 people in 15 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) including Hunan, Hubei, and Fujian, and damaged more than 7,800 houses.
