In April, the General Administration of Customs released tire export data for March and the first quarter of 2023. The export volume of China's tires from February to March continued to increase year-on-year, and the average export price rose, which led to a hot start in tire foreign trade in the first quarter.
Data shows that in March this year, China's rubber tire exports totaled 760,000 tons, an increase of 190,000 tons month-on-month, a year-on-year increase of 18.2%; the export value was 13.26 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.8%, and the average export price continued to rise. In March, the export volume of new pneumatic rubber tires was 730,000 tons, an increase of 170,000 tons month-on-month, an increase of 18% year-on-year; the export value was 12.691 billion yuan, an increase of 26.1% year-on-year. Calculated by the number of tires, the export volume of new pneumatic rubber tires in March was 52.98 million, an increase of 13.73 million from the previous month, and a year-on-year increase of 12.3%.
From January to March, the cumulative export volume of rubber tires in China was 1.98 million tons, an increase of 11.1% year-on-year (the same below); the export value was 34.754 billion yuan, an increase of 19.9%. The cumulative export of new pneumatic rubber tires was 1.91 million tons, an increase of 11.6%; the export value was 33.385 billion yuan, an increase of 20.4%. Calculated by the number of tires, 139.07 million new pneumatic rubber tires were exported from January to March, an increase of 1.3% from a decrease to an increase.
