Coal prices in Sichuan Province rebounded slightly in March

According to the Ministry of Commerce's important means of production monitoring system, in March 2023, the average price of coal in Sichuan Province will be 964.3 yuan/ton, a month-on-month increase of 3.8%. Among them, the price of anthracite was 976.9 yuan/ton, a month-on-month increase of 9.3%, and the price of bituminous coal was 951.7 yuan/ton, a month-on-month decrease of 1.4%. From the perspective of the market outlook, driven by policies such as promoting consumption, the domestic economy is expected to recover steadily, the year-on-year decline in real estate development investment has narrowed, and infrastructure construction such as transportation and water conservancy may be accelerated, which will support the coal, coke and steel market. The demand for coal in the power industry has a certain pull on the thermal coal market. Coal prices are expected to continue rising slightly next month.
