The import of refined nickel decreased by nearly 30% in July and the import of Russian nickel decreased significantly

According to China Customs statistics, in July 2023 China imported 9696.162 tons of refined nickel, a decrease of 4011 tons from the previous month, or 29.26%, and a year-on-year decrease of 1527 tons, or 13.61%. From January to July 2023, China's total import of refined nickel was 57,284.153 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 37,309 tons, or 39.44%.

In July 2023, China's refined nickel export volume was 580.278 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 337 tons, or 36.72%, and a year-on-year decrease of 1,760 tons, or 75.21%. From January to July 2023, China's total export of refined nickel was 14,847.489 tons, a year-on-year increase of 2,008 tons, or 15.64%.
