On February 21, the 100,000-ton green low-carbon methanol plant jointly invested by Geely Holding Group and Henan Shuncheng Group was officially put into operation in Anyang, Henan. This is the first set in my country and the largest in the world The carbon dioxide hydrogenation to green low-carbon methanol plant has ignited a new lighthouse for China’s energy diversification strategy and is a vivid practice of promoting Chinese-style modernization. The ceremony also signed a framework agreement on green low-carbon methanol production in Anyang Phase II, the establishment of a new energy commercial vehicle operating company and coal coke whole value chain decision-making simulation platform project 3 agreements, Geely’s Alcohol Hydrogen Technology and Shuncheng Group signed 300 sets of methanol Ordered and delivered 30 heavy trucks in the first batch to facilitate zero-carbon land transportation.
Many technologies of Anyang Methanol Plant have reached the international and domestic advanced level, including assimilating and absorbing the carbon dioxide hydrogenation methanol (ETL) technology of Icelandic CRI Company, and innovatively applying it to Chinese enterprises. At the same time, the factory adopts the world’s leading carbon dioxide capture and purification process with China’s completely independent intellectual property rights to recover carbon dioxide from industrial tail gas.
This commissioning and project signing is an innovative practice of the two companies to promote the green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading of the industry, and it has important exploration and demonstration significance for promoting carbon emission reduction in the coal chemical industry.
