Recently, the carbon dioxide hydrogenation to low-carbon methanol project located in the Sula Palace Industrial Park in Yining City has been progressing smoothly since the start of construction in June. The site leveling has been completed and the construction of the office has begun building.
It is reported that the total investment of the project is 15.58 billion yuan, which is invested by Xinjiang Lize Hongqing New Energy Co., Ltd. and will be constructed in two phases. The total investment of the first phase of the project is 580 million, and it is expected to be put into operation in June 2025. It mainly constructs syngas fine desulfurization, methanol synthesis, hydrogen recovery, methanol rectification and supporting transformation and distribution stations, comprehensive water supply system, sewage treatment system, etc., and at the same time A 30-kilometer CO2 long-distance pipeline will also be built. After the project is completed, the production capacity will reach 100,000 tons/year. After the first phase is put into production, it can realize an annual sales income of 250 million yuan, profits and taxes of more than 48.7 million yuan, and provide employment for more than 100 people.

In addition, the second phase of the project has a total investment of 15 billion yuan. It is planned to produce million-ton green methanol, and some methanol will be further processed to produce 1-4 butanediol (BDO), spandex, degradable polymer (PBS), dimethyl carbonate (DMC) and other high value-added products. Among them, the production capacity of 1-4 butanediol (BDO) is 200,000 tons/year, degradable polymer (PBS) is 100,000 tons/year, dimethyl carbonate (DMC) is 100,000 tons/year, and spandex is 100,000 tons/year. The second phase will start construction in 2025 and is expected to be put into operation in 2028. After it is put into production, it can realize an annual sales income of 11 billion yuan, a profit and tax of 3 billion yuan, and provide employment for more than 1,500 people.
