According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Security Housing Investment Center, although there is no heating installed, it will not be cold in winter. The insulation layer of the outer wall of ordinary houses is 8 centimeters thick, while that of ultra-low-energy houses is 25 centimeters thick, which is like wearing a down jacket for the house. After putting on "thick clothes", the severe cold outside the house cannot enter in winter, and the heat inside the house cannot escape.

At the same time, each room in the three buildings will be equipped with a fresh air system, one of the functions of which is heat recovery. Before the hot air in the house is sucked away by the fresh air system, there will be a special heat storage device to retain the heat. Cool air is also preheated earlier as it is drawn in, raising the temperature of the air.

In addition, according to the relevant person in charge, whether it is household appliances or people moving around the house, they are also heat sources, and these heat sources can generate enough heat to maintain the temperature in the house. In this way, the ultra-low energy consumption public rental housing can maintain the indoor temperature at 18°C ​​to 22°C throughout the year. In winter, the temperature can also be adjusted to 26°C.

In summer, cooling can also rely on the fresh air system, that is, a cooling function is specially set in the fresh air system to blow cool air into the room. The above-mentioned person in charge said: "Even if a cooling device is added to the fresh air system, it will not consume as much electricity as the self-equipped air conditioner in ordinary houses."

In addition, the fresh air system is equipped with multiple probes to test the carbon dioxide content, humidity, and temperature in the house in real time. Once the carbon dioxide content in the house is too high and the air is too dry, the air will be automatically replaced. It is understood that each household of these public rental housing will install a special monitor to reflect the air temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide content and PM2.5 concentration in the house.

What is different from the past is that the fresh air systems of these three public rental houses will also be equipped with haze removal devices, which is equivalent to built-in air purifiers in the houses, and the fresh air will be purified before entering the room.

According to the person in charge, compared with ordinary houses, the biggest feature of ultra-low energy consumption houses is energy saving. At present, the city's residential energy-saving rate is about 75%, and the energy-saving rate of these three ultra-low-energy public rental housing can reach more than 90%.
