Dow Automotive Systems has launched three new automotive adhesives, namely Megum 5386, Thixon P-21 and Thixon 526, which are mainly used to bond elastic materials and metals, industrial plastics and Other elastomers widely used in automotive and industrial applications including belts, hoses, shanks, sleeves and seals.
Dow marketing and sales manager Frank Billotto said that the three new products can enhance customers' manufacturing processes, save costs and bring environmental benefits to customers. Dow Automotive showcased new products at the previous ACS Rubber Show in Nashville.
Dow Megum and Thixon series adhesives contain low viscosity organic solutions, polymer dispersions and other chemical reactants, which are mainly used as single-layer adhesives, double-layer primers and cement covering systems. Some products are safe solvent without coloring, and some are water-based.
