PPG Industries Coil and Building Materials Coatings Division participated in the 2014 American Building Materials Exhibition (CONSTRUCT2014) held in Baltimore, USA from September 10th to 11th. PPG displayed a full range of DURANAR? Paint series products, including ULTRA-COOL?, VARI-COOL?, powder coatings and anti-graffiti coatings.
PPG's booth (Booth #723) will highlight the Duranar ULTRA-Cool and Duranar VARI-Cool paint families. Duranar ULTRA-Cool coating adopts patented infrared reflective coating technology, which can effectively reflect solar heat and keep buildings cool, thereby achieving energy-saving effects. The DuranarVARI-Cool paint, which also uses infrared reflective paint technology, is added with special pigments, which can change the color according to the ambient lighting and viewing angle.
In addition, the audience also learned about Duranar ultra-low VOC (volatile organic compound) powder coating. Utilizing the same formulation as Duranar liquid coatings, this powder coating is a tougher, abrasion-resistant two-coat system for high-traffic locations, while also meeting the low emissions requirements of LEED® and other sustainable building programs standard.
Another highlight of this exhibition is the latest anti-graffiti coating system launched by PPG. Duranar GR and CORAFLON? GR anti-graffiti paint adopt PPG's exclusive formula, adding a layer of transparent anti-graffiti coating on the pigment layer. Users only need to use PPG's DURAPREP? Prep400 graffiti remover to easily wipe off the graffiti on the surface of the object, Spray paint, pen and ink marks, lipstick, scratch marks, tape residue and more.
