Cold chain logistics means that refrigerated food is always under the specified low temperature conditions in all links of production, storage, transportation, sales and consumption, so as to ensure food quality and reduce food consumption. A system engineering of loss. In recent years, the cold chain logistics industry has developed rapidly. In 2017, the total revenue of my country’s cold chain logistics industry was about 260 billion yuan, involving industries including catering, fresh food, and medicine; the main cold chain equipment included cold storage, refrigerated containers, refrigerated trucks, and refrigerated refrigeration equipment. According to statistics from relevant departments, the compound annual growth rate of my country’s cold chain logistics market has reached 20%, and it is expected to reach a scale of 470 billion yuan by 2020.
Overview of Cold Chain Industry Development
With the steady advancement of urbanization and the rapid rise of fresh food e-commerce, more and more attention has been paid to the timeliness and quality of food delivery, and cold chain logistics has also taken this opportunity to develop rapidly.
In 2017, my country’s cold storage capacity was about 48 million tons, from 21.22 million tons in 2012 to the current scale, with a compound growth rate of 17.6%. In all regions, the cold storage capacity in East China accounted for 38.4% of the total cold storage capacity, followed by Central China, accounting for 15.9%. In East China, Shanghai has the most, about 3 million tons. The number of refrigerated vehicles in my country has increased from 40,900 in 2012 to about 140,000 in 2017, with a compound growth rate of 26.7%. In recent years, the annual output is about 20,000 vehicles. The annual output of refrigerated containers has reached about 200,000 TEU in recent years.
Even with such rapid development, the cold chain transportation rate of fruits and vegetables, meat and aquatic products in my country is still only 15%, 30% and 40%. Compared with 80-90% in developed countries, my country’s cold chain coverage still needs to be improved. At present, the global average level of cold storage capacity per capita of urban residents is 0.2 cubic meters, while that in my country is only 0.14 cubic meters per capita. With these digital analysis, my country’s cold chain industry definitely has huge potential and room for development.
The rapid development of the cold chain is a potential application opportunity for polyurethane sandwich panels and spraying
Insulation materials are the material basis of the cold chain industry. In the past, rice husk, perlite, rock wool loose materials, polystyrene foam, extruded polystyrene foam and polyurethane foam were all commonly used insulation materials in the cold chain industry. But in the step-by-step practice process, polyurethane materials stand out in terms of thermal insulation performance, mechanical properties and environmental protection. Among the currently used cold chain insulation materials, polyurethane accounts for more than 90%.
According to the statistics of Tiantian Chemical Network, the consumption of polyurethane on plates, spraying and refrigerated containers in 2017 was about 380,000 tons. In 2014, the “Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings” was promulgated (implemented from May 2015 to the present). Clause 6.7 has clear regulations on building thermal insulation and exterior wall decoration. The internal and external thermal insulation systems of buildings should adopt Class A thermal insulation. Materials, B2 grade insulation materials are not suitable, and B3 grade insulation materials are strictly prohibited.
Tend to strict fire codes to some extent limit the use of polyurethane materials in construction. However, Li Jianbo, deputy secretary-general of the Polyurethane Industry Association, said at the Kunming Polyurethane Materials Cold Chain Logistics Application Seminar that the association will be committed to promoting the revision of relevant laws and regulations, starting with PU sandwich panels for cold storage, and coordinating the “Code for Design of Cold Storage” and ” The inconsistencies between the “Code for Fire Protection of Building Design” gradually promote the formation of a new code system for building fire protection, and broaden the way for the application of polyurethane in the construction field. A few days ago, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development released the 2019 standard formulation plan, and the “General Code for Building Fire Protection” has been included.
Conclusion
Cooperating with the building energy-saving policies vigorously promoted by the national and local governments, it is believed that in the near future, polyurethane materials will be more widely used in both the cold chain industry and the general construction field. The polyurethane industry and the cold chain logistics industry will be more closely linked, and the improvement of cold storage design specifications and building fire protection specifications requires the joint efforts of the two industries.
