<b>The domestic TDI import and export pattern changed significantly in 2018</b>

Comparing the import and export data of TDI from January to August 2018 and January to August 2017, the editor found that ( As shown in Table 1 below), in 2018, the domestic import volume increased by 55.32% year-on-year, and the export volume decreased by 26.80% year-on-year. The net export volume from January to August 2018 decreased by 35,191 tons compared with the net export volume from January to August 2017.

Among them, exports to the United States, Germany, and Belgium dropped sharply to zero. The reason is that due to the tight global supply in 2017, Covestro transferred goods to its European and American factories, which led to a sharp increase in its exports to this region in 2017.

In 2018, with the 300,000 tons/year TDI unit of BASF Ludwigshafen, Germany, put into operation in mid-2018 , plus Dow Sadara's 200,000 tons/year TDI device capacity release, foreign TDI The overall supply of the market is abundant, and domestic TDI exports are blocked. From January to August 2018, the export volume decreased by 26,354 tons compared with last year, while the import increased by 16,656 tons year-on-year, which is equivalent to 35,191 tons of goods being stranded in the domestic market, which also means that the average domestic market increased by 4,399 tons in one monthTDI, assuming that the domestic monthly output of TDI in 2018 is 6.6 If it is close to 10,000 tons, its impact on the domestic TDI market will be amplified. The launch of production capacity was negatively stimulated, and the TDI market in 2018 was upset and cooled down, ending dismal.
