On Wednesday, Japan's Mitsui Chemicals and South Korea's SKC Polyurethanes Co., Ltd. (MCNS) inaugurated their new polyurethane compound plant in Sri City.

Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder and General Manager of Sri City Industrial Park, Ki-Don Won, Chief Operating Officer of SKC, Tadashi Yoshino, Management Executive Officer of MCI, Eui-Joon Lim, CEO of MCNS and Shingo Shibata attended The inauguration ceremony of the factory was held.

Ravindra Sannareddy said that this is the first joint venture company formed in Sri City by two leading chemical manufacturers from Japan and South Korea.

He believes that the presence of MCNS, a large enterprise group producing polyurethane, in the industrial park will inevitably strengthen the symbiotic ecosystem of Sri City and benefit manufacturers in various industries.

Eui-Joon Lim said in his speech that MCNS has always been committed to serving existing and potential customers more closely. "Although we started with a small business, we have big business goals in India. Our goal is to become the largest polyurethane supplier in India and provide customized polyurethane solutions to our customers," he said.

Shingo Shibata thanked the government of Andhra Pradesh for their strong support and thanked the Sri City team for their close cooperation and friendly attitude. The plant is the 11th production base of MCNS, covering an area of ​​5 acres, with a total investment of Rs 50 crore, and will produce polyol-based polyurethane foam products with an annual production capacity of 15,000 tons. Polyurethane products are widely used in the automotive, building construction, consumer durables, cold chain, textile and fiber industries.
