Properties and stability
1. Adding hydrochloric acid will turn red and produce a precipitate. Adding sodium hydroxide solution will not change the color, but precipitation will occur after excess. Easily soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene and ethylene glycol ether, slightly soluble.Acetone. It appears purple in concentrated sulfuric acid, and red precipitate will appear after dilution; it appears blue in concentrated nitric acid, and then gradually turns to orange. When dyeing, the color will be dark green when exposed to copper ions; lighter when exposed to iron ions; and slightly changed when exposed to chromium ions.
Storage method
1. This product should be kept sealed.
Synthesis method
1. Using m-aminobenzenesulfonic acid and diphenylamine as raw materials, diazotize m-aminobenzenesulfonic acid and couple it with diphenylamine to obtain the product. After salting out, filtering, drying and crushing, the finished product is obtained. .
Purpose
1. Acid-base indicator, pH 1.2 (red) ~ 2.3 (yellow). Colorimetric determination of water hardness (discoloration of a solution due to precipitation of calcium and magnesium salts). Determination of trace amounts of zinc. Biological staining (Masson’s trichrome tissue stain).
2. Used for coloring paper, soap, and cosmetics (good color yield when coloring paper, but not acid-resistant dyeing of wool and silk fabrics) And printing, leather dyeing. It can also be used as an indicator(p H=1~3). It can also be used Used in medicine, organic pigments, paints, wood products coloring and biological coloring.
