On the evening of July 14, Wanhua Chemical issued an announcement on the suspension of production and maintenance of its subsidiary Borsod Chemical Company in Hungary.
According to the announcement, the TDI plant (250,000 tons/year) of Borsod Chemical Company in Hungary, a subsidiary of Wanhua Chemical, will be shut down for maintenance from July 15, 2023, and the maintenance is expected to take about 30 days.
The MDI unit (350,000 tons/year) will be shut down for maintenance and technical renovation and capacity expansion will begin on July 18, 2023. After the technical renovation, the production capacity will be increased to 400,000 tons/year, and the maintenance is expected to take about 80 days.
This suspension of production and maintenance is a routine maintenance according to the annual plan, and will not affect the company’s production and operation.
