Recently, at the 8th International Bio-based Industry Forum, Wanhua Chemical’s 100% bio-based raw material TPU product won the “New Leaf Award-Innovative Material Award”. In recent years, in response to the national “dual carbon” policy and to accelerate the development of the national bio-based industry, Wanhua Chemical has successfully developed a full range of bio-based TPUs based on polyester and polyether systems. While achieving low-carbon environmental protection, it maintains excellent toughness and oil resistance. With high performance and anti-yellowing performance, technological innovation promotes its application expansion in the fields of brand shoes and clothing, consumer electronics, automobiles, and home furnishing.

On this basis, Wanhua Chemical uses bio-based PDI made from corn stalks to develop 100% bio-based raw material TPU products. This product has further enriched the bio-based product line with its high strength, high toughness, oil resistance, anti-yellowing and other excellent properties. With the advantages of resource saving and renewable raw materials, it can effectively reduce the carbon emissions of end consumer products and promote the sustainable development of the industry. .

At the same time, in order to build a green industrial chain and further improve the diversified performance of TPU raw material polyester polyols, Wanhua Chemical has innovatively integrated biomass raw materials and polymerization processes to develop a series of polyesters with 50%-100% bio-based content. Polyol products, the products have the characteristics of low VOC, green and environmental protection, and can be used in downstream fields such as polyurethane elastomers, water-based adhesives, moisture-curing hot-melt adhesives and coatings, with high strength, wear resistance, and strong initial adhesion.
