A few days ago, Covestro Baydot® polyurethane resin obtained the commercial material certification for the solar energy industry from TüV Rheinland (hereinafter referred to as “TüV Rheinland”), an international independent third-party testing, inspection and certification organization. The polyurethane composite frame made of Baiduo® polyurethane resin developed by Covestro is resistant to chemical corrosion and has comprehensive cost competitiveness, providing photovoltaic module manufacturers with a new material choice. The commercial material certification issued by TüV Rheinland is an important certification mark in the solar industry. The test items include thermal life, physical properties and electrical performance tests.

In addition, as a non-metallic material, it has excellent insulating properties and can avoid grounding, while helping to reduce the potential potential induced degradation (PID) effect and improve the power generation efficiency of the panel.
