According to the monitoring system of Ningbo's important means of production market monitoring, in July 2023, the average price of coal in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province was 943.07 yuan/ton, a month-on-month decrease of 8.8%, and a decrease of 5.5 percentage points from the previous month. Among them, bituminous coal was 858.63 yuan/ton, a month-on-month decrease of 3.4%; anthracite was 1,027.5 yuan/ton, a month-on-month decrease of 12.9%. Recently, domestic coal production capacity has been further released, and coal imports have increased significantly. At present, social coal stocks remain high, while downstream demand is not strong, and the transaction atmosphere is light. In the short term, there is a trend of oversupply, resulting in a continuous decline in thermal coal prices. In the later period, due to the impact of high temperature weather or the extension of previous years, the demand for coal during the "peak summer" period should increase. It is initially expected that coal prices may fluctuate and stabilize in the short term.
