Foreign news on September 12, data released by the American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday showed that U.S. crude oil, distillate and gasoline inventories increased last week.
The report showed that U.S. crude oil inventories increased by 1.174 million barrels in the week ended September 8, compared with expectations for a decrease of 2 million barrels.
That week, U.S. gasoline inventories increased by 4.21 million barrels, compared with expectations for a decrease of 150,000 barrels; U.S. distillate inventories increased by approximately 2.6 million barrels.
