According to the announcement, one of the postponed projects is the 120,000 tons/year fully biodegradable plastic PBAT project (Phase I), which was originally planned to be put into operation in August 2023, but has been postponed to February 2024. Dawn shares said that the main reason for the delay is that during the equipment commissioning and trial production of the 120,000 tons/year fully biodegradable plastic PBAT project (Phase I), in order to better improve product quality and competitiveness, the equipment was modified and products promoted. After comprehensively considering technology, safety and other factors, and giving full play to the safe, stable and long-term operation capabilities of the device, an application document for trial production extension was submitted to the local emergency management department.
Another project that has been postponed is the Shandong Dawn Polymer Materials Southwest Headquarters Base Project (Phase I), which was originally planned to be put into production in October 2023, but has now been adjusted to February 2024.
The project mainly produces various types of modified plastic granules, with an annual output of 150,000 tons of modified plastic granules after completion. The first phase includes 41,100 tons of PP, 29,100 tons of ABS, 6,700 tons of glass-reinforced PC, 13,500 tons of glass-reinforced PA, and 9,600 tons of PPO automotive composite materials, totaling 100,000 tons.
Dawn Co., Ltd. stated that during the project implementation process of the Shandong Dawn Polymer Materials Southwest Headquarters Base Project (Phase I), due to the impact of various factors such as the construction environment, high temperature and power limitation, and construction personnel allocation, the implementation progress of the raised investment project was relatively slow. The original plan has been delayed.
